Cookie Policy

A clear view of browser storage.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored by a website in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. Some support security or a service you request; others measure usage or support advertising. This notice distinguishes our homepage from the connected client portal and external booking pages.

The current homepage

We have not installed Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook pixels or advertising remarketing on this homepage. The homepage features do not write cookies, local storage or session storage. The hosting platform may use its own security or access technologies; these are separate from advertising tracking installed by ClearScale. Information about the platform is available in Vercel’s privacy notice.

Portal security cookies

The connected portal uses the following first-party security cookies when the relevant feature is active. They apply on the portal’s domain rather than automatically on the homepage:
CookiePurposeLifetime
__Host-csm-sessionKeeps an authorised user signed in8 hours
csm-csrfProtects requests against cross-site forgery1 hour
__Host-csm-previewRemembers authorised access while preview protection is enabled8 hours
Depending on the environment, the cookie names may appear without the __Host- prefix. Authentication providers may also use storage to support sign-in; see Firebase’s privacy information. Security cookies needed for a service you request are treated differently from optional advertising tracking.

Bookings and external services

The built-in booking interface sends your booking details to our booking API and Calendly. If you open the separate Calendly calendar, that website may use its own cookies and controls. Read Calendly’s privacy notice for its practices. Our Privacy Policy explains the information involved in booking.

Future analytics and advertising

ClearScale intends to consider analytics or advertising tracking when advertising begins. It is not described here as currently installed. Before adding it, we will identify the technologies, providers, purposes and lifetimes, update this policy and put the applicable controls in place. Where consent is required, the technology must remain off until consent is given, with a way to reject it and later withdraw consent.

Your choices

Your browser can block or delete cookies. Blocking security cookies can prevent sign-in or other requested functions from working; deleting them may sign you out. This does not itself unsubscribe you from emails or delete information already held by a provider. Contact privacy@clearscalemarketing.co.uk with questions about this policy.
